In RF sub-sampling receiver a passband signal is sampled at a rate lower than the Nyquist sampling rate and down-converted to near baseband or baseband via intentional aliasing. The advantages of sub-sampling receiver include lower power consumption, less complicated hardware and capability of multi channels signal extraction. The disadvantages of sub-sampling receiver include low tolerance to jitter and nonlinear distortions. In this work, a sub-sampling receiver testbed has been developed using software-defined radio. Currently most of the researches in sub-sampling receiver use only software tools like MATLAB to analyse and evaluate the developed algorithms.
