This study aims to look into the ways on how demographic characteristics, social factors, and consumer perceptions and attitudes towards internet banking influence the adoption of internet banking in an emerging economy like Malaysia. The study focused solely on the local and multinational banking industries in Malaysia and used questionnaire to obtain the relevant data. Implementation of the questionnaire was done by using the proportional stratified random sampling method, whereby questionnaires were distributed to the target population over the period of August to September 2014.
