Over the last ten years, parental and family roles have undergone deep transformations that have released motherhood and fatherhood from rigidly preordained schemes. This contribution proposes the examination - through the analysis of two technical consultancies regarding the assessment of the significance of the paternal role in the development of children - of the effect of gender difference in the exercise of parenting, both in the professional formation of experts and in the current socio-legal society.
