Annual report issued by the CGIAR Secretariat to inform all participants in the System of developments in the financing of activities.The report summary follows: The CGIAR system continued to benefit from the weakening of the US dollar for the second year in a row. Core contributions rose by $ 9.4 million to reach $ 201.6 million in 1987. While the weak dollar put upward pressure on spending in several centers, the system as a whole benefited from low rates of cost increases.
