This report summarizes the overall achievements of the GPG2 project that were made possible through the generous support from the World Bank. The overall aim of GPG2 was to ensure that the CGIAR in-trust germplasm collections have financial, infrastructural and technical basis for their long-term stweardship and to position the CGIAR to exercise leadership in a collective effort with other international organizations and NARS to buld an effective global system for the conservation and use of crop genetic resoures. 10 annexes containing project details are included on a CD and is available from SGRP Office at Bioversity International and from the CGIAR Fund Office at cgiarfund@worldbank.org
