Report by Agnes Quisumbing of IFPRI on the Fourth World Conference on Women in Beijing, September 1995. The report summarizes the activities of IFPRI in representing the CGIAR at the conference, as requested by the CGIAR Secretariat, and identifies issues in the Beijing Platform for Action that directly concern the CGIAR. These were gender and poverty, inequality in economic activities, access to resources, decision making, natural resource management, and protection of the environment.
