Report by a three person working group organized by TAC to propose the form of ICRISAT presence in Africa. The authors suggest a network linking four existing research centers with ICRISAT headquarters in India. The collaborating institutions represent Africa's agroecological zones: Highland areas at Alemaya, Ethiopia; Eastern Savanna at Serere, Uganda; Guinea Savanna at Samaru, Nigeria; and the Northern Sudan-Savanna zone at Bambey, Senegal.
