83 Zebu bulls calves were tested in the performance test unit at Chitedze in 1970. Mean gain per day on test was 1.90lb per day with mean efficiency of 3.42 lb T.D.N. per lb of gain. Vitamin A and D supplementation of the test ration was increased after 24 animals showed symptoms sraced apparentely to vitamin deficiency. Other health problems were slight and only one animal was rejected during the test because of a broken thigh bone. 82 animals completed the 120-day test period. Preliminary result are presented
