The Vetiver Information Network has produced two volumes of technical information on the use of vetiver grass. Volume 1 contains a description from a farmer in Natal, South Africa of the stabilization of soil on his farm using vetiver, followed by a photo journal report of visits to farms in South Africa, Malawi, Zambia and Zimbabwe all involved in using vetiver in erosion control. There follows a report on experiments relating to salinity tolerance of vetiver, and the Volume concludes with articles reproduced from the Contour magazine on the findings of a group of vetiver users in the Philippines.
