Part 1 examines issues related to the integration of trees into agriculture, including land rights and social and political considerations. Multistorey farming is presented as a 'way of reconciliation' between man and trees. Part 2 focuses on this farming system from both economic and ecological perspectives, with particular emphasis given to productivity, soil fertility and erosion control.
