The Intemational Food Information Service (IFIS) and SilverPlatter have launched a new CD-ROM version of Food Science Technology Abstracts (FSTA). FSTA on CD-ROM, which contains over 380,000 abstracts from 1969 to December 1990, will be searchable through the latest version of SPIRS, SliverPlatter's CD-ROM software. The disc will be updated annually. FSTA contains the most relevant information from 1,800 scientific journals on food science and technology published throughout the world, as well as selections from books, proceedings, reports, patents and legislation, with patents accounting for almost 12% of the database.
