More than 200 individuals from 18 countries attended the Southeast Asian Pesticide Management and IPM Workshop held in Pattaya Thailand during February 1987. The meeting was organized to develop recommendations to assist regional governments in determining policies for optimum pesticide usage and integrated pest management. The overall thrust aimed at the reduction of pesticide use in controlling insects and crop diseases.
