When untreated wastewater and excreta are used for agricultural production, enteric pathogens may be a primary hazard to human health through different routes of exposure, as in direct contact with wastewater and excreta while doing field work. A quantitative microbial risk assessment was conducted to predict the risk of diarrhoea related to the use of wastewater and excreta for agricultural production in Hanam province, Vietnam. A total of 173 wastewater and excreta samples were collected from 5 critical sampling points.
