Theoretical Overview The Akebono Cho Neighborhood Garden As a Communal Space in Wakamatsu Toyohashi Japan

-Open space is very important thing for the social life of the people in Toyohashi, Japan. Many activities conducted by pe ople in the space. These spaces are used by various groups ranging from children to the elderly. Toyohashi open space consists of several types, based on the designation scale, there is an urban scale, environmental scale, and settlements scale. The purpose of writing this article is, theoretically reviewing existing parks in the settlements Akebono Cho in his role as a communal space for the surrounding community. The method used is qualitative. Data retrieval through in-depth observation and recording of the image field as well as the activities that take place in it. theoretically reviewing existing parks in the settlements Akebono Cho in his role as a communal space for the surrounding community. Outcome data recorder, and then associated with the theories and concepts related to park outside of Japan, in order to know whether the park in Akebono Cho follows the principles of good garden outside Japanese garden principles. The result of the research is finding of compatibility between the theories and the concept of neighborhood parks (citizens Association/RW) with gardens in neighborhoods Akebono Cho, Wakamatsu, Toyohashi Japan
