Background: The Necrotizing Enterocolitis (NEC) is a devastating neonatal gastrointestinal emergency. The incidence is inversely proportional to the gestational age (prematurity) and birth weight. Although the diagnosis and treatment are fast, the best way to treat this pathology is the prevention.
