While the last remaining piece of the Standard Model of particle physics – the Higgs boson – has been discovered at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) in 2012, the search for new physics beyond the Standard Model goes on. We confront one of the most attractive new physics models – the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM) – with the latest results from the LHC. In particular, we study the properties of the MSSM Higgs Sector and show that different possibilities exist within the MSSM to interpret the discovered Higgs particle. Our findings have important consequences for future experimental searches at the LHC, as well as for dark matter detection experiments
