Skogen som lärandemiljö i förskolan

The purpose with this study is to find out how preschool-teachers use the forest as a teaching environment for children’s development and learning, but also how they bring the outdoors activities back into the indoor-environment. The results of this study are based on semi-struchured interviews I held with 6 preschool-teachers. The results show that the preschool-teachers perform various activities in the forest, influenced by the children. It also shows that the children develop all their senses while they are performing these activities in the forest. The forest also gives the children a reality experience. The pre-school teachers include the forest as a form of a learning environment back to the indoor environment, according to themes, children’s questions, materials, and pictures. The pre-school teachers believe that it is useful that there is a collaboration between the forest as a learning environment and the indoors environment, so the children can learn in many ways.
