Continuous evolution has caused increased complexity in the functionality of Cyber-physical System (CPS). As a consequence, development of CPS typically requires more complex interactions between projects, stakeholders, and simulation from various domains bringing new challenges in the integration of models, data, information and knowledge. This report proposes a model-based framework for Model-based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tool-chain development. The framework has two purposes: to make a MBSE tool-chain supporting CPS modeling and simulation by model-driven and tool-integration techniques; and tosupport effective tool-chain development through a systems engineering approach.
