Add to ORKGEste artículo analiza el discurso y la reacción del conservadurismo belga ante la intensificación de acciones colectivas obreras que experimenta el país en un periodo clave, marcado por dos acontecimientos: las protestas de 1886, que conmocionaron a la opinión pública, y la aprobación del sufragio universal en 1893. Conforme a ello, explora el modo en que esos sectores interpretaron las agitaciones obreras y articularon un discurso y una acción intervencionista que, tras la pionera iniciada por Alemania en 1883, remite al pensamiento contrarrevolucionario de Le Play.
