The prospect of increasing the productivity of cattle by means of genetic improvement is increasingly investigated. Among the most studied and and promising genomic regions is the Major Histocompatibility Complex (MHC), since it includes key genes of the immune response of the animals, being able to select makers in this region for increased disease resistance and therefore greater production.
