The northern border of the Iberian Chain shows detachment and fault-propagation folds that deform the mesozoic and tertiary sedimerits near Zaragoza. The regional detachment level are the lutitic and gypsyferous beds of the Upper Triassic. The thickness of the cover and the detachment level determine the kinematic evolution of folds that show intermediate geometry between detachment and faultpropagation type
