Dépôts de bronzes et relations visuelles autour du Camp du Château à Salins-les-Bains (Jura, France) à la fin du Bronze moyen et au début du Bronze final.

International audienceSystematic field surveys have been carried out in the surroundings of the Camp du Château near Salins-les-Bains for several years. These investigations led to the discovery of forty-odd hoards dating mainly from the end of the Middle Bronze Age and the beginning of the Late Bronze Age. The good accuracy of their localization allows us to study how they were integrated into the landscape. Their positioning suggests that the choice of location favored topographical criteria. We are interested in the question of intervisibility between the place of hoarding and the remarkable points of the natural and social landscape, especially the hill-forts. The results of GIS analysis show the constitution of a true canvas of visual relationships in which the bronze hoards appear to hold the role of benchmarks delimiting the social and cultural territory associated with the fortified site of the Camp du Château.Des campagnes de prospections systématiques menées depuis plusieurs années dans le secteur du Camp du Château à Salins-les-Bains ont permis la mise au jour d'une quarantaine de dépôts datés principalement de la fin du Bronze moyen et du début du Bronze final. La bonne précision de leur localisation permet d'appréhender leur intégration dans le paysage. Leur positionnement incite à penser que les choix d'implantation ont privilégié des critères topographiques. Nous nous intéressons ici à la question de l'intervisibilité entre les lieux de déposition et des points marquants dans le paysage naturel et social, en particulier des sites de hauteur. Les analyses réalisées grâce à un Système d'Information Géographique révèlent la constitution d'une véritable toile de relations visuelles, dans laquelle les dépôts de bronzes semblent avoir tenu le rôle de jalons ayant permis de baliser le territoire social et culturel associé au site fortifié du Camp du Château
