Tema del mesEn este artículo se abordan los distintos mecanismos de resistencia que los pueblos mayas han empleado desde la Conquista y hasta hoy, para sobrevivir y mantener su identidad. Por un lado, se valora la importancia de escritura como instrumento de transmisión de la memoria colectiva, y por el otro los movimientos armados, del que se toma como ejemplo las Guerra de Castas que se desarrolló en la península de Yucatán en el siglo XIX.
