: Transvestites are marginalized, under pressure in the structure and culture. Transvestites are often ostracized even got a discriminatory treatment. Conduct a study on public attitudes towards transgender becomes very important seeing this phenomenon. This study aimed to get a picture of public attitudes towards transgender seen from the aspect of knowledge, feelings, and attitudes towards transsexuals according to the tendency of behavior and expectations of society. The writing is descriptive method with the study of discourse that aims to describe, summarize the various attitudes towards transsexuals. The analysis showed that the dominant society does not know about what and how transvestites. Furthermore, the dominant community feel that contrary to the values espoused keberdaan transvestites in the midst of society. And the kebih extreme is that people tend to stay away from transvestites unless it has the benefit associated with the presence of a transvestite.
