Efektivitas Campuran Ekstrak Aloe Vera Dan Virgin Coconut Oil Dalam Formulasi Pelembab Pada Kekeringan Kulit

Background: Dry skin is a condition of skin moisture reduced that occurs in the stratum corneum. The water content of dry skin is just less than 10 %. Dry skin characterized by dry integument, rough and scaly with possible reddish, itchy and cracked. The use of a moisturizer is one way to reduce it. This study will test a mixtures of extracts of Aloe vera and Virgin Coconut Oil ( VCO ) in a formulating moisturizers.Purpose: Knowing the effectiveness of Aloe vera extracts and Virgin Coconut Oil mixtures in formulating moisturizers for dry skin.Methods: This study is experimental design with one group pretest-posttest design using 32 samples. Before starting the study, patch test has done. After the result was negative, respondents were given a questionnaire to be filled. The study was conducted over 21 days and assessed before (pre) and after product USAge (post) that used 2x a day on the right hand. The data that obtained are then processed by the Wilcoxon test with a significance level of p < 0.005 .Results: 25 respondents decrease in scores by Visual Scoring of Skin Condition (VSS). While there are 7 respondents who did not change before and after using the products of research. And no respondents who show a increase in Visual Scoring of Skin Condition.Conclusion: Based on this study can be concluded that the mixture of aloe vera extracts and Virgin Coconut Oil (VCO) is effective in reducing the level of dryness of the skin
