Pengaruh Penggunaan Tepung Rumput Laut (Gracilaria Verrucosa) dalam Ransum terhadap Perlemakan Ayam Broiler Umur 42 Hari

This study was aimed to determined the utilization of seaweed meal (Gracilaria verucosa) in the diet on lipid deposition of broiler chicken. One hundred and twenty broiler chickens at 17 days old unsex with average weight 475 ± 0,98 g was placed in a sealed enclosure to 24 units with a size of 1 x 0.8 x 0.6 m and each unit consist of five broiler chickens. This research used Completely Randomized Design with 4 treatments and 6 replications: T0 (control): rations without seaweed meal (Gracilaria verucosa), T1: ration with seaweed meal 2,5%, T2: ration with seaweed meal 5%, T3: ration with seaweed meal 7,5%. The data obtained were analyzed using various analytical procedures (Analysis of Variance / ANOVA) F-test with level 5% and if the result of the analysis show that the real effect of treatment will be followed by Duncan's test with SAS program version 9.0. The results showed that treatment with seaweed meal 7,5% in the diet significantly decreased meat fat, but had not effected to body weight, abdominal fat weight, cholesterol, Low Density Lipoprotein (LDL), High Density Lipoprotein (HDL) and triglycerides
