Persamaan Allometrik Jabon (Neolamarckia Cadamba Miq) untuk Pendugaan Biomassa di Atas Tanah pada Hutan Rakyat Kecamatan Pakenjeng Kabupaten Garut

This research aims to formulate allometric equation of jabon (Neolamarckia cadamba Miq) for estimating above ground biomass in private forests. Samples were totally 23 trees of various stem diameters ranging from 10.5 cm to30.2 cm. Above ground biomass based on tree fraction (main stem, branches, leaves) of each of those selected trees were measured by means of destructive method. The data were analyzed with linier regression then transformed into logarithm form. The independent variable was dbh (diameter at breast height, cm) while the dependent variable was tree biomass (kg). The result showed that the diameter at breast height can be used as a single variable to formulate allometric model estimating the biomass of jabon. The allometric equations for estimating above ground biomass of main stem, branch, leaf, and total was Y = 0.010 (D) 2.999 , Y = 0.001 (D) 3.082, Y = 0.011 (D) 2.135, and Y = 0.014 (D) 2.958respectively
