Pengaruh Latihan Range of Motion Pasif Terhadap Luas Gerak Sendi Pinggul Pada Lansia Di Balai Penyantunan Lanjut Usia Senja Cerah Paniki

: Old age is a time in which a person will experience a decline of physical, mental, and social gradually. The number of elderly in Indonesia, based on the cencus in 2010, was 18,1 million or 9,6% of the population. The joint on the elderly will decrease in elasticity, which can result in stiffness which mostly occur in joints that held the weight such as the hip joint. ROM exercise is one of the alternative exercise to maintain or improve the level of perfection of the ability to move the joints, and in a passively can maximize the area of motion of the joint. The purpose of this research is to analyze the effect of passive ROM exercises on the extensive motion of the hip joint on the elderly in BPLU Senja Cerah Paniki. The design of research, namely, quasi experiments, with one group pre-posttest. Subject research totalling 9 people, who are given passive ROM exercises as much as 5 times a week, for 3 weeks. Extensive motion of the hip joint is measured before it is given, and after 3 weeks given passive ROM exercises. Statistical test usedpaired sample t test, which for normal Gaussian data, and wilcoxon test for data that is not a normal Gaussian, with level of significant 95% ( = 0,05). The result of this research indicate that passive ROM exercises can affect extensive motion of the hip joint, each movement flexion (p value = 0,000), hyperextension (p value = 0,002), abduction (p value =0,011), and adduction (p value = 0,008)
