Faktor Risiko Kejadian Arthritis Gout pada Pasien Rawat Jalan di Rumah Sakit Dr. Wahidin Sudirohusodo Makassar

Arthritis Gout patients in Indonesia suffered in early age. It is about 32% gout attack on 34 years old man. Arthritis gout implications are arthritis and vascular complication. This research purpose is to explore risk factors of Arthritis gout among outpatient of Dr. Wahidin Sudirohusodo Hospital Makassar. The Study was analytic observasional using a case control study. Sampel of the study were gout arthritis patients based on medical diagnosis, the controls were patient visiting the internal policlinic who did not suffer from atrhritis gout. Composition of cases and control is 1:2, the number of cases was 50 people and the number of control was 100 people. Data was analysed by using Odds Ratio (OR) and multivariate logistic regression. Data was analyzed using Odds Ratio (OR) and logistic regression. The results of the study shows that the risk factor of Arthritis Gout are sex (OR=4.04,Cl 95%; 1.77-9.19), family history of Arthritis Gout (OR=3,72,Cl 95%; 1,817.65), Obesity (OR=2.60, Cl 95%; 12.134.69), meat consumption habit (OR=5.25, Cl 95%; 2.5210.92). The high risk factors of Arthritis Gout cases are meat consumption habit.In order to prevent Arthritis Gout attack, this research recommended to modified life style with arrange eat pattern, to avoid food with high purin such as meat and guts. Keep weight with good diet and regular exercise. It is also controlling hypertension with therapy and asses regular blood cholesterol. Key Words: Arthritis Gout, Obesity, Hypertension, Mea
