Kearifan Lokal dalam Pengelolaan Hutan Kemiri Rakyat di Kabupaten Maros Sulawesi Selatan

The aim of the research are to describe the indigeneous knowledge and interactions forms between the community in developing and managing candlenut people forest in Maros District of South Sulawesi Province.The research conduct in three sub districts of Maros district, Camba, Mallawa and Cenrana. The research use qualitative approach as the qualitative dominant. Data was collected by deepth interview, obeservation and documentation study.The result of the research is the indegeneous knowledege in managingn the candlenut people forest in Maros District is very urgent to understand how the local community manage the natural resources especially candlenut forest area, completed local institutio, kkowledge and wisdom and the sustain approach for the next generation. The community in the three sub districts also has local values and technology and institution system in managing their candlenut forest. However it still traditional, but consist indegeneous knowledge that can replicate in another place.This indigeneous knowledge need to be survive and need control from the government, especially on forest management system. This tradition need to be managed by community development program that will be based on sustainable forest management.
