Analisis Sistem Manajemen Program Pemberian Asi Eksklusif di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Candilama Kota Semarang

Exclusive breast feeding is very important for durability of a babys life, but awareness of mothers to give exclusive breast feeding in Indonesia is still around 14%. The coverage of exclusive breast feeding in Semarang is still under national targets and provinces target. As for the report of exclusive breast feeding from department of health services Semarang 2011, showed that Candilama primary health care have the most minimum numbers of 0-6 months exclusive breast feeding. Based on a preliminary survey of the health officer Candilama: availability of resources which includes human resources, fund and limited infrastructure and optimal management of exclusive breast feeding couldnt be reach. This research aims to analyze the program management system of exclusive breast feeding in Candilama primary health care work areas, Semarang. This research uses observational research methods which are qualitative by descriptive approach. Informant of this research are 1 nutrition officer and 4 midwives in Candiama primary health care. Research instrument is the researcher who helped interview guidelines.The results showed program management system of exclusive breast feeding in Candilama primary health care was assessed as less well with the availability of inputs or resources owned primary health care and less the maximum in the process of planning, organizing, empowerment, and supervision. Proposed suggestions for Candilama primary health care are to improve the ability of officer management by applying standard implementation in primary health care level in exclusive breast feeding program comprehensively
