Daur Ulang Bahan Penyamak Krom

Reusing of waste chrome to minimize the pollutant is the purpose of this study. Nevertheless the leather output must be fulfill the standard. For each treatment used, three sides of cow hide with twice replications. The treatment was nine time done. Before the waste chrome liquor was used for tanning it must be adjusted for the quantity of the flood, the pH and the, consenteration. Ther more 7% basic chrome-sulphate base on the pelt weight was added. The leathers out put were visual investigated, and chemically analysed. The waste chrome liquor was chemically analysed. Statistically analyse point out that there is no significance different (P ≤ 0.05) degree of Cr2O3 either in the leather or in the waste chrome liquor due to the treatment. Degree of Cr2O3 of the leather revolve from 3,17 up to 3,82%, whereas degree of, Cr2O3 of the liquor revolve from 7,81%, up to, 13,4 gram per litre. Visual investigation and physical testing point out that the leathers output fulfill the standard. Practical meaning of the study are waste chrome liquor may be reused for tanning by adding 7 % basic chrome sulphate and the leather output fulfill the standard. INTISARI Pemanfaatan kembali cairan krom bekas untuk mengurangi bahan pencemar adalah tujuan dari penelitian ini. Namun demikian kulit jadi yang dihasilkan harus memenuhi standar. Untuk setiap perlakuan menggunakan tiga tengahan lembar kulit sapi dengan dua kali ulangan. Perlakuan dikerjakan Sembilan kali. Sebelum cairan krom bekas digunakan untuk menyamak, disesuaikan dulu jumlahnya, pH dan kepekatannya. Selanjutnya krom sulfat basa sebesar 7% berdasarkan berat setelah proses pengapuran, ditambahkan. Kulit jadi yang dihasilkan diuji secara organoleptis, dan kimiawi. Cairan krom bekas diuji secara kimiawi. Analisa statistik menunjukkan bahwa tidak ada beda nyata (P ≤ 0.05) pengaruh perlakuan terhadap kandungan Cr2O3­ baik didalam kulit maupun cairan krom bekas. Kadar Cr2O3 didalam kulit berkisar dari 3.17 % sampai 3.82% sedangkan kadar Cr2O3 dalam cairan krom bekas 7.81 sampai dengan 13.4 gram per liter larutan. Uji organoleptis dan phisis menunjukkan bahwa kulit jadi yang dihasilkan memenuhi standar. Arti praktis dari penelitian ini adalah cairan krom bekas dapat digunakan kembali untuk menyamak dengan menambahkan 7 % krom sulfat basa dan kulit yang dihasilkan memenuhi standar
