Analisis Faktor Risiko Gangguan Muskuloskeletal dengan Metode Quick Exposure Checklist (Qec) pada Perajin Gerabah di Kasongan Yogyakarta

Implementation of ergonomics and occupational safety and health (OSH) of the informal sector are less noticed by the owners of the industry. The activity of pottery artisans was repetitive work,with a long duration, be done with less ergonomic working posture, static posture, bent and requiring considerable force. Twelve of 30 pottery artisans feels pain on the neck muscles, shoulders, arms, hands and back. The author would like to know those risk factors by using the Quick Exposure Checklist, which is one of the tools to assess the risk factors of musculoskeletal disorders. The purpose of this study was to analyze the risk factors of the musculoskeletal disorder among the pottery artisans in Kasongan based on the assessment results by using the Quick Exposure Checklist (QEC). The design of this research is qualitative with descriptive analysis and with observational approach. Survey results revealed that all tasks in the process of making pottery in the Loro Blonyo Kasongan studio was done with awkward postures on certain body parts i.e. back, shoulder/arm, wrist and neck, with routine movements and repetitive motion. The force factor and the maximum weight that can be lifted by the craftsmen are still below the maximum allowable limit which is 23-25kg. The entire activity of each task is performed within the period of time of > 4hours/day. The six respondents are male, in the reproductive age and with the longest tenure of 17 years
