: The Role of Social Welfare in Tackling Sub-District Social Welfare Issues(Case Study in Dinas Sosial Kabupaten Malang) Malang Regency is one of the one of the largest areas in East Java province. But Malang Regency is also one area that could be classified as low level of well-being of the people. Every year, the local Government District of Malang is always trying to create programs to enhance the well-being and the quality of the human resources community in Malang. Low access to education is one of the main causes of many sosial welfare Problems Disabled phenomenon (PMKS) in Malang. Based on the data that belongs to a sosial agency of the population was under the poverty line amounted to 155.745 inhabitants, with a high number of poverty in Malang then it can be concluded that the level of welfare in Malang is still very low. Therefore the existence of Sosial Welfare Workers Subdistrict is very strategic in the Sosial Service efforts to support the Sosial Departement in doing business to improved sosial welfare in Malan
