My research interest focuses on education for sustainable development (ESD). The overall aim of my doctoral study will probably focus on how different collaboration situations between teachers from different disciplines, in secondary school, affect the individual teacher’s interpretation of ESD. The aim is to explore the importance of interdisciplinary discussions, meetings, exchange and collaboration between teachers as a way to reflect on their own view of ESD. From being a concern mainly within the natural sciences, environmental education is now expected to be of mutual interest for most subjects across the curriculum borders (Schnack, 2000).
