International audienceElectrical stimulation (ES) assisted correction of foot drop in hemiparetic subjects would benefit from an efficient adaptation of the stimulation pattern regarding foot and/or shank orientations. In order to satisfy practical rehabilitation constraints and to design a feasible solution we propose a body area network (BAN) of embedded inertial measurement units (IMU). This preliminary study presents gait assessment results from experiments realized on seven hemiparetic patients (5 male, 2 female, age: 26 to 65 years, height: 1.63m to 1.85m).
