International audienceThis paper presents the Taguchi’s method as a solution to investigate thedynamical behavior of rotating machinery under uncertainty. Three illustrative examples areconsidered here. The first one deals with a linear rotor whose shaft’s Young modulus is anuncertain parameter. The second one investigates the dynamical behavior of an on boarddissymmetrical rotor subjected to a uncertain parametric excitation. The last one givespreliminary results for a linear rotor whose cross section radius is a stochastic processexpanded with a Karhunen Loeve technique.
