International audienceNumerical simulation aims at predicting the behaviour of structures for both in-life properties and material processing. These simulations call increasingly rely on complex multi-physical couplings, as for example, thermal induction treatments. In this article, we will present induction heating simulation of an automotive crankshaft. The developed numerical tool will be presented dealing with mathematical modelling, and then, with methods using finite element resolution and including many fields as electromagnetism, heating, mechanics and metallurgy.
