In this paper we reflect evaluation of Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) standard in a vehicular environment. WLAN based on the IEEE802.11a standard in wireless user community is widespread and well known to ensure wireless communication. This standard can be used indoor environment for stationary and slowly move users. Despite this fact we analysed this wireless communication standard to understand basic performance and suitability for Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) providing a ubiquitous mobile INTERNET access.
