Agave victoriae-reginae is justifiably popular as a beautiful architectural plant. There are, however, similar, closely related species, notably A. nickelsiae (formerly known as A. ferdinandi-regis) and the recently described (hence unfamiliar) A. pintilla which are equally beautiful.
