An incitement for the current research was given by being confronted with the problem of lacking adequate production system architecture that could reliably undertake to manage e-learner’s informally acquired competencies: be it on- or off-line. Zalktis client-server system, as presented in this paper, constitutes one possible step towards creation of a ubiquitous informal competency management system. During the current research and development phase, a decomposition approach of the learner’s human-computer interaction patterns is being explored, and how it can be implemented to serve for mass automated competency evidence detection
