The “Atlantic” was built in 1863 by Peck & Masters of Cleveland, Ohio. On August 27, 1899, she burned after lying at a dock in Detroit, Michigan. Subsequently, she was rebuilt at Davidson Dry Dock in Bay City, MI from 1899 until 1901. The vessel was renamed “Homer Warren” in 1901. The vessel’s last U.S. enrollment was in 1914 at Port Huron, Michigan. Although ownership records do not indicate changes, the “Homer Warren” was registered in 1914 as Canada 130222. On October 28, 1919, she foundered on Lake Ontario, near Pultneyville, New York, while on route from Oswego, NY to Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The entire crew of nine was lost and the wreckage washed ashore at Sodus, NY
