Several diagnostc tools are available to compliment physical examinaton of bovine patents, thereby narrowing down the list of differental diagnoses or shifting a tentatve diagnosis to a definite one. A lot of informaton can readily be obtained from cow-side evaluaton of samples, backed up by additonal laboratory examinaton where indicated. This artcle summarises techniques and interpretaton of useful diagnostc AIDS, including abdominocentesis, rumen fluid analysis, liver biopsy, cerebro-spinal fluid analysis, and urinalysis
