Background : Although its effects remain uncertain, prenatal education brings important information and advices to the future mother.Study design : A phenomenological qualitative study was conducted through semistructured interviews with patients during their postpartum in a maternity in Auvergne. Results : Women are satisfied of their antenatal education, even though they only conceive it as a preparation to delivery, not as a global support to pregnancy and parenthood. Discussion : Organization and content of the meetings could be rethought, the father’s participation during prenatal education seems to be important, and parental support in post-partum should be developed to satisfy couples better.
