The fear of childbirth (FOC) is felt by a lot of pregnant women and grows at the end of the pregnancy. It seems to be necessary to estimate that fear but also to know if prenatal actions, such as the childbirth and parenthood preparation (CPP), can reduce this feeling. The principal and secondary objectives of this study were respectively the evaluation of the FOC and the effect of the CPP on this said fear. The study occurred in an Auvergne’s maternity from December of 2015 to March of 2016.
