Background : Despite the numerous recommendations made by Health Boards and Authorities, advising pregnant women to take regular physical activity, women still remain unconvinced of the benefits. Therefore the main objective of this study was to assess the effects of physical activities on obstetric issues.Study design : An observation study was carried out in a Class 111 maternity hospital in Auvergne during the period end October 2015 through end November 2015. Questionnaires were distributed to 170 women hospitalized post childbirth, and fulfilling the study criteria, to assess their amount of physical activity.
