Resource Allocation is nowadays considered a central topic in the implementation and design of new generation wireless systems. Power consumption can, as an example, be reduced or minimized in real applications or even the system throughput could be maximized by simply introducing ad-hoc resource allocation strategies. After a short excursus about modern wireless systems and how the resource allocation could be performed, the text deals with the MIMO and OFDM technologies, which are two sound promises for new generation 5G. Then three algorithms are presented, analysed and implemented, each aiming at different goals. The document is concluded with a description of what is to be expected from future wireless systems, and how the modern algor...
