EWWW!: Electronic Resources in the Twenty-First Century

Initiating necessary change in a modern library environment is quite a difficult task when faced with constantly-evolving technology, limited resources, and low budgets. This paper discusses Virginia Tech’s approach to successful e-resource management when faced with a multitude of challenges. The long-term goal is the development of a proactive information delivery eco-system that will allow staff to anticipate the information and data needs of a single user or user population based on previous experiences, behaviors, and trends and deliver relevant products and services quickly and capably. The paper discusses Virginia Tech’s model, Electronic Workflows Weekly Work (EWWW!), and how it has allowed them to adopt a more successful way to manage their electronic resources
