ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menginvestigasi apakah penerapan strategi mengajar resiprokal mempengaruhi secara signifikan pemahaman membaca siswa kelas pertama SMA Negeri 6 Bengkulu Tengah atau tidak dan untuk mengetahui di level pemahaman mana kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol berbeda. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain kuasi�eksperimental. Populasi penelitian ini mencakup semua siswa kelas pertama dari SMA Negeri 6 Bengkulu Tengah tahun ajaran 2015/2016 dan terdiri dari empat kelas. Sampel pada penelitian ini adalah dua dari empat kelas yang tersedia (X3 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan X1 sebagai kelas kontrol).
