Objectives: The main aim of this research was to investigate early child- hood mother-child dyadic interactions and mother-father-child triadic interactions in families with a child diagnosed with DSM-5 avoidant/ restrictive food intake disorder (ARFID), restrictive subtype (“lack of in- terest in food or eating”). Methods: The study involved five families with children (mean age 1⁄4 42 months) with a DSM-5 diagnosis of ARFID, restrictive subtype, extracted from a larger group of 51 families with a child diagnosed with ARFID, and compared to non-clinical families.
